CAMINO PORTUGUESE FATAL TRAGEDY : at least 3 teenager have just been confirmed dead in a fatal crash police identified ….
– A 10-year-old girl is dead after an ATV crash Wednesday morning, Fairfield police say.
The Butler County Coroner identified the girls as Regan Vanoss.
A family spokesman confirms Vanoss was in fifth grade at Fairfield West Middle School.
According to police, Vanoss and her father were both passengers when the ATV they were riding flipped and landed on Vanoss. Her father sustained non-life-threatening injures.
Officers say they responded to private property on Hunter Road just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures but the girl’s injuries were too severe, according to police.
The crash remains under investigation and police say they currently do not know why the ATV flipped.
The Vanoss family issued a statement through a spokesman:
As you can imagine, the family and for that matter, the entire community is heartbroken over the accident.
“Reagan was a sweet loving and funny little girl with an amazing spirit that was taken way too early. Our entire community grieves at this loss.
“Reagan and her dad were just done dragging a ballfield with the ATV and was taking her back to the garage when they lost control and both were thrown off of it. The 4 wheeler rolled over Reagan and she sustained injuries that she could not survive. The father has a broken collarbone and some other minor injuries.
“We appreciate all prayers and support for Brad and Angela and her brother and sisters. Tthey need us now the most during this time of understanding and healing.
This is an amazing family. They are the most loving family I know and the entire family is involved in everything any one of them does. The girls have sat through hundreds of ball games for Austin and he has done the same with all of the girls’ dance recitals and show choir events. I have never known such a tight-loving family as I have the Vanoss Family. The entire family is community-oriented, driven by their parents. Brad is a Board Member of the Fairfield Civitan Club and past President, he is also the next President of the Fairfield Rotary Club. So giving back to these organizations comes natural for this family. They were dragging the baseball field to prepare for a game that none of their kids even play in.
“We are all blessed to have known little Reagan for the short time she had on this earth, but we are all confident she is now with her Lord and Savior in a much better place.
“There has been a Go Fund Me site set up to help the family offset some upcoming expenses and if you would like to donate money to them, it would be much appreciated.”
