I AM LEAVING : Denny Hamlin Has Officially announced To Leave NASCAR and Reason Why….
Denny Hamlin appears to have received a poisoned chalice as NASCAR heads to Bristol. The Joe Gibbs star’s future hangs in the balance with him currently below the playoff line with just one race remaining before the first cut.
Hamlin needs major points, and quite possibly victory if he still harbors dreams of winning the championship, or even dodging the cut line. But his chances may have taken a knock with him the latest driver to fight Kevin Harvick’s jinx.
Harvick’s prediction so far have proved to backfire on the drivers he’s chosen. Last time out at Watkins Glen, the 2014 Cup Series champion named seven contenders he felt could win at the Glen, with none of them coming in the top ten.

Kyle Larson proved to be the highest finisher among Harvick’s predictions – finishing in P12. Meanwhile, one of his top picks William Byron picked up nine points and Tyler Reddick amassed just 14 points.
Harvick and his co-hosts on his Happy Hour podcast made their selections for the upcoming Bristol Night Race. However, Harvick acknowledged that his selections may be cursed.

“I don’t know. I’m almost getting tired of guessing because my guesses have been so wrong,” Harvick said. “I think if you go off of the first race it’s going to be a Gibbs car with the way that they ran.
“But gosh do I just, I think I have to go off the Denny Hamlin thing because he’s just been so wrong for me,” Harvick paused before delivering his verdict for Bristol, saying: “I can’t do it. I’m going with Denny.”
Harvick’s backing of Hamlin is likely linked to his concern that given Hamlin’s place in the playoffs, he would have to go for the win this weekend. “Who would have thought Denny Hamlin would be minus six going into the last race of round one?” Harvick said. “Personally, I think I underestimated Atlanta, Watkins Glen.

“I was just way underestimating the significance of the way that the races were structured in round one and could eliminate at least two, what I thought would be two championship contenders, possibly if they could put it all together. Going to Bristol, obviously, Denny Hamlin is very good there. Bristol’s going to be interesting.

“If you’re Hamlin, you can point your way in, but I think it’d be a lot easier if you won your way in,” Harvick added. “I think they can go to Bristol and put it back on the track and they can go there and win, but man, what a dismal way to start.”

Harvick’s co-host Kaitlyn Vince also backed a Joe Gibbs car to triumph at Bristol, instead opting for Hamlin’s teammate Martin Truex Jr. “I’m staying in the Gibbs camp as well,” Vince said.

“I’m going with Martin (Truex Jr.) because I would really like to see him win a race in his final season. I have his charity event this week, by the way. Catwalk for a Cause. I’ll be hosting it, it’s always big time.”
While Mamba Smith gave a third different driver to take the win. “I am going to go with the guy who sat on the pole at Watkins Glen, Ross Chastain,” Smith said. “They have some speed. A non-playoff guy to win the race. They have been showing up, and I think there’s about four or five playoff guys who are going to keep doing this throughout the playoffs.”
