Police continue to investigate the triple-fatal collision in Shropshire and are appealing for witnesses to come forward
A horror crash on a county lane has seen three teenagers die and a fourth left with life-altering injuries. Emergency services had been called to Offoxey Road, in Tong, near Shifnal, Shropshire, following reports of a collision involving a silver Audi A1 at around 11:15pm on Friday.
Simon Evans, 18, from Perton, Staffordshire, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics. Jacob Holeman, 17, from Codsall, Staffordshire, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries on Saturday and a third teenager, Jenson Bridges,17, from Brewood, Staffordshire, also lost his life on the weekend.
West Mercia Police said a 17 year old boy, is currently in hospital with severe injuries but remains in stable condition. Police are investigating the accident which occurred east of Telford and are keen to speak with witnesses or anyone possessing relevant information.
Inspector Steph Arrowsmith, from the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “Sadly, three teenagers have died and one remains in hospital with life-changing injuries in this tragic incident and our thoughts are with all of those who have been affected.
“We continue to carry out enquiries into the collision and I would like to thank everybody who has contacted us so far with information to assist with our investigation.
