Lakers Announce LeBron James News After Luka Doncic’s Debut
On Monday night Luka Doncic made his Los Angeles Lakers debut following a stunning trade that ended his

lengthy tenure with the Dallas Mavericks. “It’s a new team. New everything,” Doncic said after a 132-113 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night. “But the way they helped me, teammates, Rob, [Lakers chief executive officer and governor Jeanie [Buss], it was just a lot of support for me. You could see when I came to the arena, I saw all the Luka jerseys. It was just a surreal feeling.” Both Doncic and Lakers star LeBron James missed Saturday afternoon’s game against the Indiana Pacers – thought to be Doncic’s initial plan for his debut – with injuries, but came back in full force for Monday’s win.”I thought our three main guys did a nice job of playing off of each other,” Lakers head coach JJ Redick said, referencing James, Doncic and Austin Reaves. “Sometimes you can have agendas in a game. I felt like this for our group was a no agenda game beyond winning a basketball game and playing the right way.” As the team prepares for Doncic’s second game in a Lakers uniform in a rematch with the Jazz, both he and LeBron received injury updates.
